Low-friction by design

How local print works

This is print brokerage, not publishing, a simple, direct path from your file to printed books in your hands.

1

Send your file

Send us your print-ready file, or, if it isn't ready, we can prepare and design it first. Interior and cover, set to spec.

2

Choose quantity & specs

Pick your trim size, binding, interior, paper, page count and quantity in the Spec Collector below. We reply with an accurate quote.

3

We print & ship

We produce your copies and ship them to you. OW holds no stock, every copy printed is yours, delivered to your door.

Not print-ready yet?

No problem, we can format the interior and design the cover first, then print. That's our Self-Publishing production work, applied to your local print run.

Know your options

Your print specs, explained

Not sure what to choose? Here's what each option means, so you can fill the Spec Collector with confidence. Unsure on any of them? Pick "advise me" and we'll guide you.

Trim size

The finished page size

6 × 9 in suits most novels and non-fiction; 5.5 × 8.5 in is a compact, pocketable size; 8.5 × 11 in works for workbooks and children's books.

Binding

Paperback or hardcover

Paperback (softcover) is affordable and the most common choice. Hardcover is premium, durable and gift-worthy, ideal for special editions.

Cover finish

Matte or gloss

Matte is soft, modern and resists fingerprints. Gloss is shiny and makes colours pop, great for vivid, image-led covers.

Interior

Black & white or colour

Black & white is best (and most affordable) for text-heavy books. Full colour suits illustrated, children's or photo books, and costs more per page.

Paper stock

White, cream or groundwood

White is crisp and bright, good for colour. Cream is warm and easy on the eyes, a classic for novels. Groundwood is lightweight and economical.

Page count & quantity

Thickness & run size

More pages means a thicker spine and can affect binding choices. And the more copies you print, the lower the cost usually works out per book.

Good questions

Local print FAQ

Do I keep the books and my rights?

Yes, completely. OW holds no stock, so every copy we print is yours, delivered to you. You keep 100% of your rights; this is a printing service, not a publishing-rights arrangement.

Does my file need to be print-ready?

Ideally, yes, a print-ready PDF with the correct trim size, bleed and margins prints fastest. If your file isn't ready, no problem: we can format the interior and design the cover first, then print. See production & design →

How many copies can I order?

Whether you need a short run or a large batch, tell us the quantity in the Spec Collector and we'll quote it. As a rule, the more copies you print, the lower the cost per book, we'll advise the most cost-effective option for your goal.

How long does printing and delivery take?

It depends on your quantity, specs and delivery location. We confirm a clear turnaround and shipping timeline together with your quote, so you know exactly what to expect before you commit.

Where do you deliver?

We currently print and deliver within Oyo, Osun, Kwara and Lagos States. Tell us your exact delivery location in the Spec Collector and we'll include shipping in your quote.

How is pricing worked out?

Print pricing is quote-based, because the cost depends on your exact specs, quantity and delivery, a fixed price list would be misleading. There's no warehousing markup: you pay for printing and delivery, and the copies are yours. Live pricing will be added here after launch.
